Some info for those attending the 2025 VEER Music Awards.
The event is this SUNDAY, February 2 at Elevation 27 in Virginia Beach.
TIME: Doors open at 5 PM. Show starts at 6 PM sharp. The program generally runs 3 hours.
PARKING: The large Wal-Mart parking lot across the street is available. The venue has an arrangement with them. There is a small parking lot in front of the venue.
SEATING: There is limited seating and available on a first-come basis. Most of the floor space is available for standing.
ADMISSION: The program is FREE to all to attend thanks to the generosity of our presenting sponsor Elevation 27 and supporting sponsors Virginia Arts Festival, Festevents, New Realm Brewing Company, and Live Nation/The Dome/Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater @ Virginia Beach. Metal detector operator will wand/scan each person at entrance.
Now in its 15th year, the Music Awards program presents awards in a diverse array of music genre categories ranging from Hip Hop, Jazz, Country, R&B, and Punk to Gospel, Indie Pop, Experimental, Classic Rock, World Music, and Metal. Plus categories such as Open Mic Night, Music Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Cover Band, and Posed Musician Photography. We’ll be awarding over 45 bands and musicians.
PLUS: As a fun tie-in with the grand opening of The Dome at the Oceanfront in May, we’ll have 11 live performances by local bands each performing a song from one of the legendary groups who played the original Dome.

Local Virginia Beach group, The Stingrays, performed the very last show at The Dome, opening for Three Dog Night. They are reuniting to open our awards program with a performance of Three Dog Night’s “Celebrate.” They’ll be joined by local guitar legend Barry Scott of States.
VIDEO PRESENTATION: During the awards presentation, each category will appear on the video screen and will feature video footage of bands who played The Dome in the long-ago days. The video producer is Paul Unger, who published a documentary on The Dome in 2023.
