Hampton Roads’ craft breweries have enjoyed another outstanding year with accolades coming from global, national, statewide and regional sources.
With all of these great things happening in our Coastal Virginia beer scene, it is our pleasure to announce the 2019 Veer Magazine Golden Tap Award nominees.
From October 15 through November 15, cast your vote in each of the following 50 categories (see below). FYI: Votes cast from duplicate IP addresses are noted and cast out.
Each brewery was invited to self-nominate 10 beers.
We will present gold, silver and bronze medals in each category during our annual Golden Tap Awards ceremony. This year the date is Tuesday, December 10. O’Connor Brewing Company is once again playing host for the program, which begins at 6 PM. Admission will be free and all proceeds from beer sales will go to Hope House Foundation.

The awards are determined by 50% coming from online readers’ votes and the other half from our secret-shopper panel of beer experts, including Brian Koski, Diane Catanzaro, Chris Jones and others. The Golden Tap will go to the brewery that accumulates the most points where gold medals count as 3 points, 2 for silver and 1 for bronze.
