Hampton Roads’ craft breweries have enjoyed another outstanding year with accolades coming from global, national, statewide and regional sources.
With all of these great things happening in our Coastal Virginia beer scene, it is our pleasure to announce the 2025 Veer Magazine Golden Tap Award nominees.
From October 20 through November 15, you may vote at link below.
Each brewery was invited to self-nominate one entry in any 10 beer style categories.
Additional categories such as Tasting Room, Can Design, and Brewery Event will receive awards, but not points towards the Golden Tap. These categories consist of entries nominated by our panel.
We will present gold, silver and bronze medals in each category during our annual Golden Tap Awards ceremony. This year the date is Monday, December 1. Big Ugly Brewing is playing host for the program, which begins at 6 PM. Admission will be free.

The awards winners are determined by online readers’ votes and our secret-shopper panel of beer experts. The Golden Tap will go to the brewery that accumulates the most points where gold medals count as 3 points, 2 for silver and 1 for bronze.
